Thinking of picking this up today. On sale for $1499 at BestBuy
Any thoughts here vs the comparable Samsung S90D? It's the same price
Will be replacing a cheap TCL 55" QLED. Also pondering whether or not I should
add in the 2yr Geek squad ($170) warranty to it.

I can't compare to the Samsung, but I have a 65" LG OLED (a bit older model) and I honestly cannot imagine that there is a TV with a better picture. It's absolutely stunning.

I have the 77…don't regret it one bit especially if you watch a lot of movies and 4k stuff

id go to rtings and look up calibration settings (best way to do it without spending money to have a pro come in)

I'll put my Panasonic plasma up against any OLED for picture quality. Unfortunately they couldn't increase the pixel density to make cost competitive 4k units so I'm stuck with 1080p for probably another 5-10 years.

We still have an old Panasonic 42" Plasma in our bedroom. But yea limited to 1080p,

The difference between oled and and anything else has ruined me, in a good way. They are just so much better than everything that it blows my mind

I had a 42" Panasonic Plasma and I'll take my LG OLED any day of the week. No comparison in picture quality.

I had two oled lg and loved them. One died in warranty and they wouldn't fix it. They tried to say it was "damaged". Will never buy one again. Replaced with a Sony oled that I like alot.
