So why does the xbox require you to go online after turning on the system to 'log in to your account'?

The PS5 just automatically signs you into your account.

I am sure it is a setting that I don't have activated, but couldn't find.

So right now I can't login using the online sign in link for microsoft… network down?

I can't login in to set the console to 'auto login'.
