Anyone know how to get in touch with Facebook for support? My mom's account got suspended and she got a message it's because her linked Instagram violated terms of service, but her instagram is not disabled and the account that's mentioned by FB appears to be some spam type account. Not sure how it got linked to her facebook.

Seems pretty common from what I can tell from googling (https://www.reddit.com/r/facebookdisabledme/comments/1345w11/facebook_disabled_due_to_linked_instagram_account/)

But no one knows how to fix it short of spending $15 to get a verified Instagram account, and then getting access to Instagram help services and working it that way (since FB owns insta I believe).

Wondering if the TexAgs network knows things.

Yeah, good luck. We lost an Instagram account for a side project I work on for "inappropriate content" (it's an animated short film) and never found any way to talk to an actual person. Just gone, no recourse.

Had it happen to my wife's professional page. We spent $15 and had the account back in 3 days.

May have to give this a shot.

I hate that is basically the process now. But if you look at small claims, that will take several weeks and a least a few hundred dollars. The Meta Verified is $15 for one month. If it doesn't work you are only out $15.

My young cousin (who had a big social media following because of her ovarian cancer journey) passed away and a troll farm created a page using her name and photo and made all sorts of ridiculous posts under her name. It was so absurdly obvious that it was not her and the account itself was based in Pakistan, yet people were still replying to the account as if it was her/her family.

Even connections from friends at Facebook couldn't get anything done. Absolutely awful organization. Made things really rough on my family seeing posts with her name only a week after burying her.

Can't hurt to try, will report back.

Getting a personal social media account suspended is probably a blessing in disguise for most people.

This happened to me. It affected both my personal account and a school sports page that I had set up. I just made new pages and let everybody know.

For now the AI is getting it wrong and disabling your social media presence.
