My son and I might be on a game show next week.

I've tried to screen record youtube tv, but it doesn't work.

I obviously have the show to record on my youtube tv dvr when we're on.

Any ideas how to save and edit the show so it's just the parts that we might be on?

So we can post on youtube or facebook?

Edit: Someone volunteered to record and upload to google docs for me.

This guy has a cool tutorial, but he uses Linux. He says he does not know if it will work on Windows or Mac. But his method worked a year ago when it was posted.

Will this be on broadcast TV? If so, an HD HomeRun and a Plex server might work for you.

Went to the show back in 2002. You might know this already, but they'll line you all up outside before going in. While in line, they come by and make small talk with everyone. That's your opportunity to stand out to get on the list to get called down (it's not random).

Yep. We did all that. Except now they bring you in a room with 9 groups of X. They select one person from each group to get called to come on down. They have a primary and alternate from each group.
If they have more than 9 groups, someone from each group might not get called.

At least that's how they did it in May.

Looks like the only option is recording the TV with the Iphone.

I think all the episodes of PiR are on paramount+

Right. How do you record it from there for people who don't have paramount+ and keep it forever?

Maybe stream it on a laptop and screen record or play in zoom with the meeting recording.

Download a trial copy of Snagit and you can record video on your PC. I have done this numerous times to record streamed content.

you could use your price is right winnings to buy a capture card, then you use that to send your HDMI out from the computer you're using to play the video to another computer instead of a monitor. The second computer runs capture software like OBS to record the signal - should bypass the software protections of capturing on the same computer.

This will definitely do it. Just need to configure your settings to match your preferences and/or hardware.

You final setting swill depend on your hardware (graphics card) and what you want to do with the recording. You may want lower settings (smaller files size) to play directly from a shared drive to watch on your phone and a high quality recording to playback on a 4K big screen.

If you are not super tech savvy DM me and I will record it for you. I have YouTubeTV. Just let me know in time so I can tag it for recording on the built in DVR and then record it for you w/o having to do it live.

I can upload it onto a Google Drive or if you are in the BCS area put it on a thumb drive and give it to you.

If something goes awry with it, just let me know -- all episodes get ripped, encoded and uploaded about 12 hours after air and I'm happy to grab it for you if needed.

Thanks..only issue is i don't have a nonwork PC. But this is great advice.

Have the episode available. If you're wanting it, DM me a place I can upload it. Low bandwidth version around 400MB, 720P at a gig, 1080P at 1.25gig.
