Currently on a trip to Easter Island for the annular eclipse of 10/2/24…. our guide caught this image of the comet at 39,000ft as we were flying over Lima on way to Santiago, Chile at first light.
He was in seat 1A on our 787 and convinced the attendants to help build a blanket wall to block the reflections. I was in 8A and woke to a sight even better than this image (my images were filled with reflections and blurs lol).
Here's to it making its way around the Sun intact and giving us a show in North America around Oct 10-14!
