I'm a Hulu+LiveTV subscriber. Since yesterday my two Amazon Firesticks have been receiving St. Louis network affiliates. STL is 120 miles to my east. My two PCs are still getting Columbia, MO locals, which is where I live. I'm not using VPN on any of these devices, and there's only one router in the house. I've had the same internet provider (Spectrum) for years.

Left screen - Fox from STL through Hulu
Center screen - Fox from COU through Hulu. Showing a different game than STL.
Right screen - CBS from STL through Hulu

I'm not upset my it. If I cared about the NFL, it would be cool to have an extra game. I just can't imagine how I'm concurrently receiving locals from two different markets off of the same IP address.

My dad has experienced something similar with Youtube TV; depending on your viewing location and IP address, it sometimes gives an option for selecting your TV market during setup on each device. In the case of Youtube TV, this setting is device-specific, so he has the majority of devices set for their local market but one TV set for DFW (a couple of hours away) in case if carriage disputes take a local affiliate offline for weeks at a time (they lost both Fox and NBC through much of last football season).

I have a similar situation with YouTube TV. I get both KWTX and KBTX CBS stations to pick from. If the Texans are at home, KBTX is usually blacked out so I get two different CBS feeds from one location.

I had this issue with Fubo for awhile. For some reason it would switch me from Dallas to Austin tv stations randomly. I had to go back into it and set my home location. I called customer service and they told me it also had something to do with when I was using my mobile app to watch tv. Even though I was still in or near the Dallas area.

spieg, Your Texans issue is because KWTX is a designated home station for the Dallas Cowboys and KBTX is a designated home station for the Houston Texans. Home station designations bring with it certain requirements from the league and network.
