Damaged screen on my Pixel 5A, making it hard to use. Though I can still manage. Otherwise I'd keep using it another year at least.

Don't really want to spend a lot of money. Someone is selling a Pixel 8 Pro on FB Marketplace for $350. Seems to be in good condition. Seems like a good deal. Anyone have thoughts on the phone?

Any other recommendations for something less than $450?

I've been daily driving a OnePlus 12r for most of this year after retiring my Pixel 6 Pro and have been pretty happy with it for the price. The only slightly glaring omission is a lack of wireless charging but the red cord super speed charging makes up for it to me.

the 8a shows as 299 for me as well. I have the regular 8. Modem still ain't great but outside of that it has bene perfectly fine.

I was going to suggest the subscription program with Google Fi, but I can't even find it now.
I get the latest "A" variation of the Pixel every two years and pay around $15/month for the phone. Nothing up front.

you can buy the used Pixel 8 Pro for $350, trade it in for $700 while buying the latest Pixel 9 Pro for $1000.

Will cost you more but you get the latest gadget.

Oh, interesting idea. Trade in value on the Pixel 7 pro is currently $180 if I buy the 8A. I bet I could trade it in in a year when the 10 comes out and get a 9 pro for at least $180 off then.

Also, rechecked 8A is currently showing $399 ($100 off MSRP). Would think the 8 Pro would be a better value at 350 than the 8A at 400. But curious if anyone else thinks otherwise.

I have the P8 pro and enjoy it, but will be going to an iPhone most likely on my next purchase.

Verizon has a deal for free Pixel 9 with tradein in any condition. Not sure which service you currently use
