Looking for an easy, and cheap solution to stream an event with multiple cameras. Looking at YouTube, Face book or Zoom Meeting.

Seems like the Logitech Mevo system would be easiest with an existing iPad and iPhone (s).

Only issue is that the system needs to be owned by the organization, not me. So this is a Non-profit with little money so it's got to be as easy and cheap as possible.

What I'm doing is live streaming some Soccer Referee Mentoring meetings. While a lot of local people can attend the meetings in person, (which is preferred b/c we do a clinic afterward), a lot of the refs' are in college in fall/spring and cannot drive in for the meetings. So we want to be able to steam to them, but be able to switch between cameras (depending on who is presenting/talking in the room - hard to explain but 2 cameras would be much better than one).

The Mevo set up can be run from an iMac (I'm seeing that you cannot LiveSteam from you phone on YouTube without 50 subscribers or even 1000 - it's a safety set up on YouTube) but you can from a PC/Mac with less than 50 subscribers) and just link to a few phones in the room. However, that would depend on me and at least one other person using our phones to make it work and a laptop and I won't always be able to attend.

Sound is also a concern. Camera/Phone mic's don't always pick up sound for example if someone is across the conf. room talking the phone may not pick it up. I know that there is no thing more frustrating that being in a meeting, or watching a live stream and not being able to hear.

Blackmagic ATEM mini might be the way to go.

4 camera inputs for the basic model and 8 for the extreme. plus a media pool for graphics and lower thirds.

There are plenty of free basic templates out there for overlaying things like score and the time clock.

For a beginner, I would recommend getting a Stream Deck to automate functions with a button push and use OBS as a middle man to manage your streaming.

If you Google ATEM Mini, you will find a ton of content.

Let me know if you need some help. If you are in the BCS area I can give you a quick demo. At a minimum it will help you get up to speed with the video production vocabulary

Not in BCS, but thanks.

What kind of camera's can I connect? I was hoping to do this wireless but that may not work. Can I just get a couple of inexpensive web-cams and that will work? Or do I need a dedicated camera with an HDMI output signal (which I think you're going to say yes).

I thought the Mevo App would work, but turns out you have to pay $19/mo for the Multicam set up to work through 2-3 smartphones acting as camera's.

OBS is free software that will work with as many webcams as your computer will support. Fairly simple. If you had a wireless mic or could borrow one you and use that audio instead of the webcam mics

Check out Switcher Studio. You can use your iPad or iPhones for cameras. We use it to broadcast high school games and other events. You just need a strong wifi signal. They do have a free trial period to test it.
