How do we add friends or TA folks to our list to join up with?

I think you have to both be online at the same time to share the friend code, which I guess requires another platform like steam or discord to send to each other? idk

Yeah, I think the best/only way to hook up is to get on Discord. Texags gaming has a server and there is a helldiver's specific voice channel. We can get on that and we can call out our friend codes so that we can play together.

Yeah, I've just gotten back into playing recently (I'm mid 20's... a few dozen hours into the game) and I've noticed the same problem. And I don't get it... when I was new I started at lower difficulty so I could learn how to play the game properly.

I think the biggest issue with them is most don't have mic's (so you can't help guide them) and as soon as the evac is available they call it in. No clue that the rest of us are trying to grind secondary objectives, etc.

I'm sticking to playing on challenging right now and grinding. Anytime I bump up to hard, I just become instant cannon fodder for those damn flying bugs.

Started grinding some of this again and it's still pretty fun. Too bad Borderlands drops tomorrow because I'm doing that next.

Wangus, what's your Xbox ID? Anytime I'm playing on my PS5 I can look for my Xbox friends and we can exchange Hell Diver friend codes.

I usually only do Level 10 on non-gloom planets. And I don't know how many newbies try and play at that level. It's insane. And of course they rage quit a lot or use up all the lives. I've only killed one Hive Lord but I do love the challenge.

How long did the hive lord take?

Seyshel Beach has been liberated after months of fighting, mostly thanks to Halo veterans.

I'm not currently playing it (dang Arc Raiders), but I really like Helldivers. I just got a PS5 a little over a year ago and it was one of many PS games that I've been catching up on, so I was never able to put as much time into it as I wanted.

But I'm definitely always ready to deliver freedom!!!

Anyone that's been playing the last week or so has been in for a treat. The storytelling has been great, and the assault on Cyberstan is insanely difficult.

Highly recommend playing it right now.

Anyone play the new Illuminate update that Arrowhead dropped this week? Pretty fun, and SEAF is actually useful now. They released more enemy types. One is reminiscent of Dead Space's necromorphs, and another seems similar to a giant from Skyrim.

They actually made the Illuminate entertaining to fight. Well done by Arrowhead.

Yes, I am playing it and really enjoying it. New enemies are challenging. My name on Steam is "Freedom Fries", if you want to team up. I try to get in a couple missions a night.

Can you share your friend code? I play on Xbox and don't have Steam. HD2 has a friend code you can share.

It's challenging at 10 but I finally found a good loadout that's working for me. This is a phenomenal update. This is a good return to form for the game. The new environments are dark and scary and the new plant life is wild as well. The WarHammer weapons make it feasible to survive.

So what's everyone's level after the cap got moved to 300? I ended up at 225 after the update.

I stopped playing a few months after release and returned just a couple months ago. The game is so much better than it was at the beginning.

Something is going on with the DSS. It went to Calypso, and then it and the planet disappeared. Then, the DSS reappeared at Afoyay Bay.

I have a feeling they're about to do something with cultists reminiscent of Dead Space.
