Hi guys. Long story short my XBOX One Day One Edition is old and acting weird with regard to remaining connected to wireless controllers. I've tried several. Then, I just started plugging the controller in. After a while, every USB cable seems to get loose and fall out and disconnect from the controller. I've searched online for a long time, and I can't seem to find an XBOX One controller that is hard wired without even the option to disconnect it from the controller. Does this even exist anymore? Thanks.

Just factory reset the xbox. Can you store your saves in the cloud or other device and factory reset? That's what I would do.

Razer Wolverine Xbox controllers are hardwired. Basic version even has hair trigger locks.

I did this. Twice.
I also updated all controllers.
The xbox and controllers connect for a short period of time, but then they just disconnect randomly in the middle of a game and the screen pops up that says "You need a controller to play this game." Then, we have to take the batteries out, put them back in, and press the middle Xbox button to turn the controller back on. Sometimes this reconnects the controller automatically, but sometimes it does not. Everything works great if you plug it into the console, but the wires always get loose and after a while they just fall out, since they have very wimpy spring-type things that hold the end into the controller.

Same thing happened to my day one. Never figured a fix other than going wired.

Just circling back to say this works great and is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the suggestion.

I've got two wired ones since my boys destroyed my wireless.
