How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have an Orbi router with two satellites. Is there a way to turn off the wifi for the Orbi router (base unit), but keep the two satellites broadcasting wifi?

The way my house was built, my Orbi router is placed in a central location upstairs which is where the ATT connection, as well as in-home ethernet hub is that distributes to the rest of the home. This is not ideal as it's a fairly large floor plan. Any suggestions?

I disabled the wireless on my cable modem/router.

However it does assign the IP addresses so I set orbi to "access point mode" using the web interface. Then you just daisy chain the master Orbi right next to the modem.

I have a thread here someone where someone posted a video. Basically login to "orbilogin.com" then go to:

Advanced setup
Router / AP mode and change it to AP.

You can't do this with the web app.

Thanks guys I see I wasn't clear. I am not asking about passthrough or the ATT router.

I want to disable WIFI only on the Orbi router (base unit) and only have WIFI broadcasted from the two satellites.

I realize that was NOT your question, but it solves my problem of wanting all my devices on the same subnet.

Also - hope you didn't take my comment as rude or anything! I appreciate the help.

I understand that many times we offer help, but the wrong kind of help. But I though we might have the same problem "behind the scenes".

I also had two wifi signals right next to each other. Plus the whole different subnet problem which meant i could not access my printers/NAS from the orbi wifi devices.

Hence i wanted to offer the same advice that was graciously offered to me a year ago.
