How long do you want to ignore this user?
Hey,

I have had AT&T for longer than I can think for both cable and internet. I am considering cancelling the cable and keeping the internet.

I don't know what all is out there for internet providers, so thought I would ask. I would consider departing from AT&T all together if it made sense. I currently only run one laptop, a wireless camera on the front door and then three smart TV's with any kind of consistency. Occasionally ill run an xbox but not often and then we have two cell phones. I am also considering cutting the cord for cable. I don't know how much mbps I have, but i know it isn't 100. Not sure if all of this matters, but would love some input. Thanks Ags.

Hey Dart,

I just got rid of DirecTV w/ATT internet the other week. I was paying around $35 for 50mbps. I cut the cord and for the internet I switched to Xfinity for $55/month (taxes included) and 150mbps.

So far I haven't had any issues with Xfinity's service.

I'm in the Tomball area.

Check to see if you're in the Verizon 5G trial footprint.

Whatever your local cable company is will probably be the best. I'm SuddenLink in Kingwood.

Depends where you live. Go to the majors' sites and check your address. I can get Xfinity, ATT, and Entouch (wired only, no fiber to my section of neighborhood.)

I have Xfinity now - started with a 250mb teaser deal for a year & then downgraded to 50mb at year 2 to keep the same cost ($50/mo.) We cut the cable cord & stream TV, run a few tablets, phones, laptops + 1 wifi security cam. I noticed zero difference when we dropped from 250m down to 50m.
