I'm kind of rough on my phone and occasionally need to wipe it down with anti-viral disinfectants. I've been a fan of Otterbox defenders on previous phones and am seeing Lifeproof get so-so reviews on Amazon.

Anyone care to weigh in?

It's just a bumper but keeps the phone safe from drops of 11ft. If you need more than drop protection I'd look at Lifeproof cases.

My wife drops her phone at least twice a week and her phone has been fine since iPhone 6 launch day with a rhinoshield (on her 2nd one now).

I've used Spigen cases on my S4 and now S7.
They're excellent.

I'd recommend Spigen as well. The one caveat is that you have to use the power cord that came with the phone. If you use an aftermarket cable that is larger than the opening it will crack the bezel part. It's happened to me twice so now I just have the rubberized part on my phone. Dropped it several times and no worse for wear.

I've had Otterbox and Spigen. Didn't care for Obox, really liked Spigen, but my absolute favorite has been UAG.
