iPhone baseball walk-up music playlist?

Is there anyone that can help me make a walk-up baseball music playlist for my 10 year old's rec ball team for my iPhone?

I need it to have short 'sound bites' of each song, just the part for me to play..not the whole song. I'm not techie smart this way so I need help....like a lot of help.

There might be an easier way that someone else can suggest, but I've always found Audacity to be very simple to use. Just purchase and download the songs online, open in Audacity, and fade-in/fade-out quickly at the desired points. Clip it, save it as an MP3 and create a playlist.

In iTunes you can set a start and end time for a song. You can then create a copy of that clip as a new file. Put all of those files in a playlist and you can upload the playlist to your device.
