I have a first generation iPad 64 GB 3G+Wifi that was in perfect condition. It sustained some water damage though and the display wouldn't work. I figured it was toast and the Apple store confirmed that, so I bought a brand new one. When i went to switch the cellular service over, the lady at AT&T said I should take the damaged one to one of the "u break I fix" stores to see if they could salvage it somehow.

Well, I did , and the guy said it works perfectly now. All it needed was a new LCD that he said would cost $150 if I wanted him to keep it in there. My question: is this IPad even still worth $150? I have no use for it and don't want to waste $150 if it's not even worth that. Any advice is appreciated.

Not sure what they're going for on eBay but it'd be worth a look. Of course you could also ask him if he wants to make you an offer on it. I think those places often buy broken devices.

Eh, it's probably worth about $150. If you could use it for a backup or something, it would be useful.

The $150 to repair is a pretty good price, the screen itself is still about $100. You could do it yourself pretty easily.
