We have the 50" inch in the living room and the 32" inch in the bedroom room. We'd like to get something small for the master bath. I am thinking of wall mounting it in the corner opposite of the shower.

Do I need to worry about steam and condensation?

Any suggestions? It's only use would be news in the morning. I'm thinking about this one:

ehhhh, i'd be a little concerned about too much moisture getting on or in any electronic device that isn't created with that intention.

if you're spending $200, depending on how you feel about things like that, it may not kill you to use it for a little while before it craps out and then you can replace it. for a more permanent solution, i think you'd either have to get some sort of custom job or increase your budget and buy a fancy made-for-bathroom HDTV.

Don't want to watch the TV while showering. Just want to hear the news. Might glance at it while shaving or brushing teeth.

The waterproof HDTV's are $600+. Not sure if they are really worth it. They are intended to be mounted in the shower wall.

if the visual aspect of it isn't super-important...there are alternatives. radio, podcasts, etc. OR you could have an separate speaker hooked up to your tv or receiver and simply hang that speaker in your bathroom.

just a thought. otherwise, i'd say go with the $200 tv and replace it when it drowns

We have a 15" LCD in the corner of our master bath up near the ceiling. We haven't had any problems at all with condensation, but the shower is at the other end of the room.

If your master closet is in your bath, you can actually spend your whole morning routine in there. It's great to be able to watch Sportscenter or the news (or, if you have Uverse, recorded TV) while shaving/brushing/getting dressed.

We have one of the cheapie (~$220) 20" in the corner of the bathroom. No problems yet. And yes, with the closet adjoined to the bathroom, my wife finds it VERY handy to catch up on news, weather and traffic while getting ready for work.

I'd like an LCD TV in my bathroom, I think it's a good idea. I spend 45 minutes showering/shaving/dressing in my bathroom, it would be nice not to have to crank up the TV in the bedroom. The only problem would be getting a source to it. If you have basic analog cable, you can get a drop near where you would mount the TV. Things get a little more complicated if you have rabbit ears, digital cable/uverse/sat. You'd still have to get a drop and a mount for the box.

Still, if you can work out the details, it would be a good idea. Make sure to get a cheapie TV just in case.

I'm going with a $200 19inch LCD. Maybe the Vizio or maybe something else if it pops up on sale.

I have very easy attic access so I'm going to use fish tape to run a 25ft HDMI cable from the cable box on the master bedroom tv to it. I think I'd rather use that cable box rather than add a cable box to the master bathroom.

Could I set up some kind of IR repeater to use a remote in the bath and hit the cable box around the corner?

Another question, will the cable box output to the HDMI and Component without issue?

Thanks for all the help.
