We should try the Bo Nix fake wild snap move to secure the 2 point conversion

Maybe Jim has it in his contract that all of the color guys have to call Jim by his given name, Jim.

the Lions are so entertaining -- win or lose. Should be in prime time every week

but they won't be again until week 15. How did that happen

Not that I can think of. I also haven't seen a chop block called lately.

There was a game yesterday where the defense didn't accept a 5 yd penalty (1st & 10) so that they could have 2nd and 10 instead of 1st & 15. Guess what? They gave up a 4th & short....wish I could remember the exact series but I was watching redzone.

The Atlanta Falcons are like the Tennessee Titans from several years ago.
Below average QB: Tannehill and Penix. Check
Elite big play WR: Aj Brown and Drake London. Check
Elite Big RB: Bijan and King Henry. Check
Strong Defense: Titans yes, Falcons maybe?

Ultimately they should beat average to below average teams. I think they need another weapon. One thing they do have is a better backup RB.

Another thought: End of the elite CB era?

With the way offenses move around their elite WR the ability for a defense to shutdown the other teams best pass catcher seems a thing in the past. Look at Lamb against the Texans. Stingley barely was on him.

So if your elite CB is only taking out a WR2 or WR3 is that worth investing big money? Is it more important to just have 3 good CBs instead?

next week:

Chiefs (3-0) at Raiders (3-0)

throwback to the 70's

Can't wait!

Last time we beat them was Christmas a couple years ago and Tayla Twit was crying in her luxury suite, would love to see those sweet tears again.

This didn't age well for me, a fumble and a coverage bust and we lose to the Chefs again

It's incredible how the winless 0-4 Buccaneers stunned the Cowboys 24-16 with an undrafted rookie quarterback on the road on a short week to get their first win of the year. As a result, the Buccaneers improved to 1-4 and snapped a 5-game road losing streak with their first road win since a 23-3 win over the Saints on 10/26/2025, 347 days ago.

tonight was one of those games...which shows the risk of betting on sports

Cowboys were 9 1/2-point favorites. Moneyline -450. O/U was 48 1/2 points.

but the under and the underdog prevailed by comfortable margins

Crazy trade that would make sense but likely wont happen.

Vikings trade for Baker from the Bucs.

Assuming Daniels plays well next week. Vikings QB play is bad enough that they risk JJ asking for a trade and Addision has to be on the way out. Kyler is trash. Baker does well with an Alpha and 2nd wr.

Right now the vikings will be too good to get one of the top QBs and unless they want to try to get Stroud or Young next year's free agents arent exciting.

The Bucs can then play for a low draft pick but with young players. Maybe trade away a more expensive piece and get a solid rebuild without completely blowing the team up. If Daniels looks good enough maybe they dont get a top QB and trade that for more picks.

Before 2012, Thursday Night Football games didn't start until November. I think Thursday Night Football games should not start until the week after Thanksgiving because Thursday night college fooball games should not compete with NFL games.

The 5-0 Vikings, the 5-0 49ers, and the 4-0 Chiefs, who are on a bye week, are the only remaining undefeated teams. The 0-5 Chargers, 0-5 Dolphins, and 0-5 Titans are the only remaining winless teams. The Chargers are the most disappointing team because they are coming off an 11-6 finish and a playoff appearance, and Jim Harbaugh had never started a season 0-2 in his previous 21 years as a head coach spanning five separate stints across college football and the NFL.

One of the answers on Jeopardy! earlier this week was the word "posterize"

I find it hilarious that Mike Evans managed to posterize Travon Diggs when the play wasn't even live.

I am glad the 49ers escaped with a 23-17 home win over the Commanders to improve to 6-0, but it felt way more stressful than it should have been. After 49ers led the Commanders 23-3 with 5:56 left in the 3rd quarter, we allowed 14 unanswered points to the Commanders. Eddie Pinero's missed extra point, Christian McCaffrey's fumble at the Commanders' 12-yard line, and the loss of Mike Evans hurt the 49ers, but the 49rs still could have pulled away much sooner.

Even with a very sloppy 2nd half, the 49ers are the only 6-0 team and have the best point differential of +67 points. All 4 of my favorite football teams went undefeated week. The Aggies, the 49ers, and my two fantasy teams all won this week for the third time this season: Week 1, Week 4, and week 6 of the NFL season.

With the Washington Commanders losing 23-17 to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, the NFC East became the first division since the AFL-NFL merger (1970) to go winless in consecutive weeks when all four teams played. The NFC East collectively went 0-6-2 over the last two weeks. The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles both lost back-to-back games, while the New York Giants and Commanders each went 0-1-1 because they tied in Week 5.
