Elections are when people find out what politicians stand for, and politicians find out what people will fall for.

If I had the means I'd love to put this on a billboard by the Star. You be you, Jerry. You're doing great

This game was a great example of how going for 2 prematurely can cost you. Both teams scored 4 TDs and a FG, but KC won by 3.

Down 11, Buffalo started chasing points right before halftime. Instead of kicking the XP to make it a 4 point game, they end up down 21-16. Then they score again to go up by 1, but fail again. Then KC scores a TD to take a 5 point lead which gives them a chance to grab a 7 point lead by going for 2. Without Buffalo's failed 2 pt tries, this doesn't happen.

Those 2 missed conversion attempts ended up costing the Bills 3 points, the final margin of defeat.

Exactly, chasing points prematurely can come back to bite teams. The Bills scored only 26 points from 4 touchdowns because of 2 failed 2-point conversion attempts, and the Chiefs scored 29 points from 4 touchdowns because of 1 successful 2-point conversion attempt. If the Bills had kicked an extra point both times, the game would have been tied at 31 with 3:33 left. Of course, if the game was tied at 31, the Chiefs likely would have kicked a game-winning field goal to win 34-31 on their final possession instead of just draining the clock.

The Ravens vs Bills game was another great example of how for 2 prematurely can prove costly. I understand that the Ravens were attempting to tie the game at 21 on a 2-point conversion attempt with 1:37 left in the 3rd quarter, but because of that failed 2-point conversion attempt, they went for it again to tie the game at 27 and failed again, leaving the final score as 27-25. Both the Ravens and Bills scored 3 touchdowns and 2 field goals, but the Bills won by 2 points because the Ravens went 0 for 2 on 2-point conversion attempts. In summary, the Bills repeated the same mistake of chasing points prematurely that their previous playoff opponent made.

This is my question, also. Is McDermott another Levy? The Bills may need to move on from him.

Probably 30 years ago I heard someone in the booth say "don't go for two until you have to" and it's always stuck with me.

Chasing points is dumb.
