Watching Hurts just kills the football nerd in me. EVERYONE who knows what they're talking about recognizes and points out that he's not even a functional NFL QB outside of the all time niche Philly has created for him, but his WR/RB/OL/TE assortment is so overpowered that he gets to trick casual fans into believe he's an all pro player because he executes about six concepts over and over and over all season that work because of it.
His QBR is AWFUL in any situation in which he is asked to play the role of traditional drop back passer. Like worse than Daniel Jones by a lot.

Yeah, ever since he got benched against Georgia and had to transfer to the touch football conference, it's been obvious that he possesses a marginal skill set. But man, that's a pretty good supporting cast on both sides of the ball.

Hurts has improved a lot since college, but he's not elite. However, Philly has figured out how to use him absolutely perfectly.
The Eagles throttled the Commanders 55-23 to make their 5th Super Bowl appearance and 2nd Super Bowl appearance in 3 years. Because of the expanded playoff format to 14 teams and the Commanders' 45-31 upset road win over the Lions, the Eagles became the second NFL team to host 3 playoff games in the same season and the first win to win 3 home playoff games in the same season. The only other team to host 3 playoff games in the same year was the 2021 Kansas City Chiefs, who lost to the Bengals 27-24 in overtime in the AFC Championship game. Also, the Eagles broke the record for most points scored in a conference championship game by scoring 28 points off of 4 turnovers.
