Make the Conference Championship game this Century. In fact it was 30 years ago the other team made it.

The chasm being beating the chargers at home and beating the chiefs on the road is like 50 grand canyons. The texans would need a turnover free game where they knock down mahomes a ton and rush for 200+ yards to have a chance. None of that seems likely.
Stroud will have to tuck and run or even plan some runs to beat them. Basically be the low-rent model of Buffalo and/or Baltimore's plan to play ball control against KC.zooguy96 said:Jose Cruuuuuuuuuuuuz said:

Yep they've got one receiver that's healthy and any good, and an OL who struggles in most things they do.
The defense is going to have to win this game if the Texans have a chance in hell, and Stroud is going to have to okay the game of his life.
None of these things are likely. KC is favored by 8.

Whoops… this is a year old. It's actually 6-4.
A Houston football team hasn't made it to the conference championship game since January 6, 1980. Most posters here weren't even alive then. this post is JImbo FIsher blank title plaque level cringe.LincolnBorglum79 said:

Then you need to visit the Cowboys season thread. We are keenly aware.Brother Shamus said:
No, we don't think you guys are aware.
Literally. There is no Cowboys-Texans rivalry. I really want to cheer for Houston, but they make it so hard with their obsession.gigem1223 said:

Uh hello, we blew a 24-0 lead and lost to the Chiefs by 900 points a few years ago.Txhuntr said:TnAg23 said:Literally. There is no Cowboys-Texans rivalry. I really want to cheer for Houstongigem1223 said:

This is me too. When the astros were in the NL I hoped for a rangers-astros worlds series every year. I'd love to do the same for the cowboys-Texans, the Texans as a franchise are so vanilla though, it's just not compelling to cheer them on. They haven't been part of any epic playoff games. They've never had a franchise qb that is must watch tv (stroud could be the answer, but it will take some years to get there). They've been around for 20 years now, but have they made any noise beyond JJ watt and Andre Johnson calling Houston home? Just tough to get excited to root for them
Baby steps, I guess?LincolnBorglum79 said:
