Backup QB in the NFL is the weirdest thing to me. I do not understand why teams hold onto bums like Skylar Thompson who they know give them 0 chance to win a game. I'd rather just churn through random young guys and hope you stumble across a Tony Romo or Tom Brady rather than just hold onto some scrub for 5 years.

This would make sense given his experience with the organization. Assuming Tua misses time, their only QBs on the roster are Thompson on the 53-man and Tim Boyle on the PS.

If I'm Roger Goodell and the other NFL team owners I don't see how they don't prevent Tua from playing another snap. Make a deal with Miami to cover 80% of Tua's guarantee money.

Packers almost signed Tannehill this week. Makes sense a return to MIA will be considered
Would recommend adding Tannehill in SF leagues. Miami needs a QB and he is the best free agent out there...not on waivers since he is unsigned. If Miami scoops him today, he would go to the wire and likely be an expensive FAAB option.
