Yeah sure the refs calls had 0 impact leading up to the 4th qtr. those calls 1000% changed the game but don't let that change the narrative

I agree but he looked banged up from those 8 sacks. And he only had one legit recover out there in Nico.

He does need to improve his pocket awareness tho. That sack on 2nd & 2 in the red zone was bad

He's got the club in a real bind, because he hasn't shown he's good enough for a mega extension. You absolutely can't miss on those and if you do the franchise is hosed for years.

Meanwhile, we have some bonafide studs on defense who I'd rather spend that long term money on.

They're actually pretty close…their defense is one of the best in the league and full of young playmakers and they only had 1 legitimate NFL receiver left uninjured.

This result is infuriating because they're close and this game was winnable, but your FG kicker sucks and I want to say this is the 3rd game this season lost b/c you were playing 8-point catchup after a missed XP. The refs heavily impacted this game through 3 quarters and that influence manifested itself in the 4th when the KC defense was far more rested than they should've been and the Texans' defense was more tired forced to stay on the field longer due to terrible, drive-extending calls that led to points.

The "well the 4th quarter" narrative is letting the NFL off the hook since nothing in a game like this exists in a vacuum.

The only solace I take is that we would have had no shot against Buffalo or Baltimore. I'm sorry but this Chiefs team sucks
