Well they did lose to the Jets and have barely skirted by several bad teams. The division is far from over, especially if we win next week.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious bc this thread and the Ticket keep saying that we need to beat the eagles and have them lose one more to win the division. But why is that? If we beat them next week, we are tied and would be 1-1 head to head. Why is everyone assuming they win the tie breaker?

I'm assuming they are both thinking of the scenarios where both teams are 14-3. In that case, it would come down to the conference record tie breaker which Philly would win because they'd be even in head to head and division record. If both teams finish 13-4 there are some scenarios Dallas would come out in 1st.

Wilson got a similar call earlier against the Texans... he tried to slide way too late and got lit up. Clean hit but refs threw the flag anyway.

Purdy "broke a tackle" earlier because he acted like he was gonna slide and then changed his mind... the defender had already started letting up.

Would actually come down to common games before conference record, but the result would be the same.

Right now Dallas is +1 in common opponents (Jets).

But remaining common games are:

Cardinals (Dallas lost, Philly TBD)
Seahawks (Dallas won, Philly TBD)
Bills (Dallas TBD, Philly won)
Dolphins (Dallas TBD, Philly won)

So if Philly loses to Dallas but wins out, they'll makeup the 1 game deficit in common games with the Arizona win, which will then push the tiebreaker to conference record (which they'll have a 1 game lead).

So put simply, Dallas has to win out and Philly has to drop two.

That dolphins game is starting to worry me. Tyreek could go off on our secondary like DK Metcalf did.

Hopefully the niners dislodged the horseshoe from the philly team's collective asses

He can go off all he wants, as long as it warrants the same results as Thursday.

In all seriousness, you're not going to stop Hill. They're going to have to just contain him as much as possible. Bend not don't break and hopefully get a few take aways to flip the score our way.

You can negate Hill by having Parsons thump Tua into next week. that's the best way to beat that.

Or he feels that's where he can do the most good. Depends on what he wants, and which scheme fits him the best

He wants to get his career trajectory back moving back up to get another big payday. I hope he looks at the Eagles defense and thinks he would just end up looking worse playing there with their defensive issues.
