It felt like the 49ers were just going to release him. So why give up the pick? Cowboys can give him time under to progress behind dak so maybe it'll work. But man that kid struggles at the line making reads

I don't hate it. I am all for taking a 4th-5th flyer every couple of years, so this is basically it. His base salary is $900k this year, $1mm next, and he's due a $4mm roster bonus in 2024.
Dak Prescott is signed through 2024 and has a $59m cap figure next year. Jerry Jones has talked about wanting to extend his contract but there did not appear to be much movement on that front at the start of training camp.

A team that traded three firsts for him hit eject and you're proud of us giving up a fourth? Could have waited for him to be cut or sent them a sixth.

It just hasn't translated to on the field results. I think Garrett as coach held the team back a lot.Macarthur said:
I know it's many peoples fav pastime to poke fun at Jerruh, but their drafting and player acquisition process has been pretty damn solid for about a decade now. I think much of the credit belongs to Will McClay.
