#5 seed should be locked up now if we don't get the nfc east.

Correct and I agree. Baring a complete collapse... Dallas will either be the #1 seed... win the East... or be the #5 seed.

I'm OK with those scenarios.

At this point Dallas could lose out and still probably get the 5 seed. They are three games up on Seattle and Minnesota, and both of those teams will have a very hard time getting to even 9 wins. Honestly the biggest threat might be GB, after this week they play 5 very winnable games down the stretch and they are playing well.

We can't play SF at home if we don't win the division.

You want SF to win so Philly has to try down the stretch. If Philly wins the next three they can essentially treat the last three weeks like preseason games.
I have a greater belief that San Fran will lose their division than the Eagles this season....

Even if SF loses this week they are up 2 games on Seattle, have already beaten them once and they'll be double digit favorites in 4 of their last 5 games. I guess I don't follow. It's almost impossible for them to lose the West, even moreso than Philly losing the East.

Prescott is playing QB on a level higher than anyone else in football right now. It's the best stretch I've ever seen from a Dallas QB*.

I took all kinds of hell when I drafted Dak in my fantasy football league.

It's hands down the best he's ever played. Hes throwing so accurately and giving Lamb a chance to make these great catches that I don't think hes ever consistently been capable of or trusted enough to let it loose. Lamb has also elevated his game this year to an elite level

Last night was a good win for this team.

Neither is probably going to happen but the 49ers are somewhat injury-prone this season.

I took him in round 5 and its looking like one of the steals right now

Cowboys need to figure out how to neutralize the quick short passing game ASAP. Geno shouldn't have done that to us.

It is really the only way to defeat the blitz and quick pressure the Defense can get on offenses. You're right though, they need to figure out how to get pressure with just 4 DL and cover the quick passes

Some thoughts from last night:

  • Big kudos to Micah on that last play. He had Geno dead to rights and a lot of guys would have blown up the QB on that play... but our boy Micah knew the situation and completely laid off. If he hadn't, I have no doubt the refs throw the 15 yard roughing flag.

  • Pollard & Dak teamed up for one of the coolest plays in recent weeks. Pollard cut blocks the blitzer, gets back up and takes a quick shovel pass from Dak and then rumbles for 10-15. Nice!

  • Brandon Aubrey is now 26/26 for the year with 5 being from 50+.

I think this throw bears watching again.

That is an absolute incredible throw in that circumstance. I said last night that i thought the ball might have been tipped just a tad to throw off CD's timing or vision there. Really hard to tell if that's the case, but the real focus should be on that ball placement and timing.

That's elite stuff right there.

Everyone called this a bad throw during the broadcast because of the number of defender, but no defender touched it. Only CeeDee. If Lamb catches that it's possibly the best throw of the year.

Ferg is kinda becoming one of my favorites of this offense.

Dude is bringing an attitude to this offense.

Yeah, Ferguson is getting a lot of good pub this year. They were giving him all the love in the post game... some guy named Tony Gonzales is a fan.

Loved that first down run when Mr. 6 stood over him and talked the crap, then Ferg stands up and signals first down while walking him back a couple yards.

Adams getting in his face made that TD so friggin sweet... Ferg gives him a quick look back, and then goes for the mega spike.

And let's not forget that hurdle play. The dude is player hating all over the field right now!!!

Witten had the same attitude too, which is why I loved him. He knew he was about that life and if anyone challenged him he didn't back down.

Wasn't it Kelce that runs a TE camp in the offseason and said Ferg is going to be a good one..

That being said the "Let's look at Kelce and Ferg in their second season thru 12 games..." is complete garbage. There's so much that has to happen for Ferg to be Kelce. Right teams, right QBs, right coordinators, right motivation and work ethic/training, enough natural ability..

Just enjoy a dude that is coming out and looks like he can be a great TE for us for a long time.

Come on, man. No one is saying he's going to be Kelce who is going to be a hall of famer. We're just saying he is trending is a really good direction. Geez

Man, you know statistics can be used to prove any point. They're nonsense.

Like ESPN - no one has had 30 points, 8 assists, 3 steals, and a dunk in consecutive games since MJ in 1987. And then they'll post a side by side of Jalen Green & Jordan.

What if Aaron Hernandez had similar stats. Let's use him and extrapolate Ferguson career going that way :x

Re-watching some highlights:

1. D-Law made one of the biggest plays of the season dropping the RB on 4th & 1. The guy is such a good all around player.

2. Jordan Lewis made 2 HUGE pass defenses late in the game. Both of them were on 3rd down & short and both led to failed 4th down conversions. Cannot say enough how big those plays were.

3. Man alive they were holding Micah all game long. For all flags on the field, it's criminal that #11 didn't draw a single one. You can't call it every play, but not even 1???

I'm slightly annoyed at the echoing pre-game and post-game talking point of "they haven't beaten a team with a winning record".

Part of the reason it's true is because Dallas has put absolute "Know your place peasant!" type beatings on several teams. Those type of beat downs can send teams spiraling, not to mention the fact that our wins are what have some of those teams sub .500.

That being said, that was easily the best team we've played all year and came out with W.

It was a good win in preparation for what we're about to face.

I was critical of the org when they went into the season with Ferguson, an UDFA, and the draftee Schoonamaker as their only options at TE. Ferguson's performance has blown me away. He is a real weapon and is legit. I like that we keep developing guys at the position and don't end up overpaying for guys like Schultz

He wasn't referring to Ferguson as an UDFA, he was referring to Hendershot.

And yes Rex, I meant D-Law, not D-Ware.

Serious question: do we get rid of Gallup this offseason? He has become irrelevant and I can't remember the last time he had a meaningful catch
