Cowboys at Niners, January 3, 1971. Cowboys 17, Niners 10.
Would that make SF-Dallas the oldest playoff rivalry of the divisional era? (Especially since they had an encore the following year?)
It was also the last game played at Kezar Stadium, as the Niners moved into Candlestick Park for the 1971 season.
Unlike a lot of former pro stadiums, (in any sport), Kezar still stands, and is still used, for high school football.
Hail Kezar!
ETA: So, according to this website, DAL-SF is tied at 9 total playoff meetings (DAL 5, SF 4) with Rams-DAL (Rams 5-4) and SF-GB (SF 5-4).
In conference championships meetings, DAL-SF is tops at 6 all time (DAL 4-2). Next closest pairings all have 3 total meetings.
