Cal McNair approved as Texans principal owner. Apparently, Cary McNair dropped his lawsuit to get his mom declared incapacitated.

I missed that. Just saw it noted in this. So I'm going to assume that Cary just wanted control in order to sell the organization
Maybe Simmons and Aiyuk? Those two would sure up our biggest gaps outside of DT. Or maybe they're making a move for a big name DT? Hopefully it means fun times leading up to the draft!!Ryan34 said:
We restructured Tytus Howard's contract to free even more cap space. Now we have $31M. Gotta be planning something.
Actually rumors have been that he's on the trading block, San Fran is at the end of their window and going to start having some severe cap issues if they don't plan ahead. The issue is going to be value with the WR draft class as deep as it is, so if SF really wants to move him they're not going to get great value with any team. I think if we really really want him we could offer one of our 2nd rounders and they would jump at the chance. Also not sure if we would offer this year's picks or next. If next we could do conditional draft pick trade up to the extra 2nd rounder we got.dcaggie04 said:
What do we package to SF to even get them interested in a trade for Aiyuk?
Yeah, that's the only reason he's available is that he's going to be big money. But so will anyone else we really want to trade for. San Fran also has the issue of deciding what to do with Pudy, since they only have 2 years left on his insanely cheap 7th round rookie contract. That's going to be a massive jump in the portion of their salary cap even if they somehow don't have to sign him to a top 10 contract.Ag_07 said:
The issue with Aiyuk is that IIRC he's a FA after this year and wants a big contract on par with a #1 WR.
SF isn't willing to do that so he's on the block.
We'd have to pony up because I doubt he's gonna go somewhere that won't pay him what he wants.

Unless they like Aiyuk more than Collins. The fact that we haven't heard anything so far on contract negotiations makes me wonder if they're waiting on Collins to see if he can continue the success next year. But, with that said, I bet this is a play for a DT or filling in the roster with room to spare in case they do get a deal done with Nico.Max Power said:IrishAg said:Yeah, that's the only reason he's available is that he's going to be big money. Don't forget Collins is also a UFA after this coming season. Wouldn't make sense to trade for Aijuk and also deal with his contract as well as Collins. If they're planning on anything it's gotta be elsewhere.
This has to be the biggest talent disparity in one commercial ever.maca1028 said:
