I think a big back would help this team, also.

Fun season and the future is bright.

Can't wait for the new uniforms and hopefully some big offseason moves

Not going to lie. I'm going to need a couple of days before I talk about how great this season was.

I'm guessing not super different. I think it'll be similar to how the Bengals changed theirs. Smaller details but probably the sleeve stripes will be totally different.

Also I think they'll add light blue (but not exactly oiler blue)

Not Oiler Blue?! I'm shocked the NFL would disallow that for Houston!

Schedule is absolutely brutal next season. Need to kill it in free agency and get this team built around CJ.

When last year ended and we got DeMeco, CJ and Will Anderson I thought 2025 would be the year.

2023: 6-11 or 7-10 and show flashes
2024: what we got this year with divisional round
2025: AFC title game or SB run similar to 2021 bengals

Looks like we are a year ahead of schedule so hoping 2024 is the year

That's part of why the Texans were able to get in the playoffs this year. The schedule was fairly easy.

Yet we lost to our easiest opponents.

"H-Town Blue" has been confirmed to be part of the uniform scheme. Not the same as the Oilers, due to copyright, but substantially similar.

Our FA money will decorate quickly. Lot of snaps that'll need to be replaced. But what a learning opportunity this year has been for CJ, super exciting.

If we continue to draft well and actually spend the whole cap and spend wisely, 2025 and 2026 should be best team in the nfl before having to pay stroud, Anderson, and Dell.

True. Today's game felt like those games. Just off from the get go.

From a Dallas fan - congrats on bringing good football back to Houston. It's been a while. This Texans teams reminds me of the 1991 Cowboys. If that's a good comparison, y'all have some fun times ahead.

This is why I haven't been nearly as upset as with some of my other teams (looking at you Aggie football). Like yeah, it sucked to lose today, but we went further than even my most optimistic predictions could have said. The future is bright; I'm looking forward to seeing what we do with the draft and free agency (would love to see us bring Mike Evans home!)

Great Season. Way ahead of schedule. Let's add a veteran WR like Mike Evans or Devonte Adams, A bunch of draft choices and some other free agents and we will be ready to fight for a division and higher seed next year. Schedule will be harder but we beat Cincy, Jags and Indy on the road this year. Not worried about playing a better schedule,

SHould call it Go **** Yourself Blue and have it be exactly the same.

Is the Oiler blue the same hue as HPD cruiser blue? I think the HPD cars were maybe a hair darker. That's probably the color the Texans will have.

If the team wore Oilers logo then I would be disappointed…. BoB, Culley, Lovie with bad teams broke my Shiva Gitter.
Will have expectations next season. This year was all house money.
Congrats to the players, Demeco/coaches, Caserio and the McNair family.
Nail free agency & get lucky in the draft….. future looks bright,

I see the them following the schedule of the bills.
New coach- they ended their drought in first year
2nd year- didn't make playoffs
3rd year-afc championship

Texans make the playoffs next year most likely but don't make it this far next year.
The talent in the afc is stacked too high.

Too many better qb's and coaches in the afc for the Texans to sky rocket to where y'all think they will be. They played a difficult SOS this season.but it will only before difficult next season, with a probable new oc, and a second year qb (who was limited to 3 points today) in a new offense.

This team definitely takes a step backwards next year.

With a new HC & rookie QB, I had minimal expectations entering this season. Needless to say, it's been a phenomenal one. The dream had to end in Baltimore yesterday but I think that the best is yet to come.

Now will Slowik leave to become an HC somewhere? If so, will he take Jerrod Johnson with him as OC or does DeMeco promote him to take Slowik's place?

Regarding the upcoming new uniforms, the Oiler style blue is only going to be an accent color. The bullhead logo will remain the same.

That makes no sense to mirror the Bills progress, we're a full year ahead of their schedule as McDemott's 2nd season was Allen's rookie season before Dabol got a hold of him. McDermott's first season was the classic let's load up on veterans to try to not look bad. We skipped that completely and are now going into the equivalent of their 3rd season, where they have the roster turned over with a ton of young talent, except we're not hoping our top 5 QB pick can figure things out.

Every season is the same, it comes down to who gets hurt, who regresses, and who steps up. Just look at the AFC North - Pittsburgh and Cleveland in the playoffs and Cincy sitting home? Nobody saw that in August.

The team needs to add depth everywhere including QB to be honest. We don't need Case Keenum trying to win games 8-5 if CJ gets banged up again. Find another WR who can catch 60 balls and has a good injury history. Tank Dell seems like he's going to be Lance McCullers and be hurt non stop. Sign every able bodied OL you can. Same on DL. Pray to Jesus that your DBs are slightly more healthy in 2024.
