the Texans only ran 44 plays on offense

including the 3 kneel downs at the end

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if you have a points per play > 1 that's good.

Congratulations to the Houston Texans for their dominating 45-14 win over the Cleveland Browns and their first playoff win in 4 years. As a 49ers fan, I am happy for DeMeco Ryans.

It seems like the early Texans guys have a real affinity for the team and city. Demeco really wanted to be here and andre bending cals ear about the org seems like a pivotal moment for the franchise. There were several other examples over the last few years but those really stand out in my mind recently.

As Texans fans we want:

Dolphins to beat the Chiefs

Steelers to beat the Bills

This results in the Texans hosting the Dolphins next weekend..

"Cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. was matched up with Browns receiver Amari Cooper for 80% of Flacco's dropbacks, and Cooper didn't have a single catch while being guarded by Stingley."

It surprises me that long time past players still want anything to do with the until recently dumpster fire of an org, and seemed to really care about the organization.

I hate to be a wet blanket after that game, but Stroud got out played statistically.

CJ Stroud
16-21 (76%) for 274 yards
15 yard TD pass - Nico Collins
76 yard TD pass - Brevin Jordan
37 yard TD pass - Dalton Schultz

Joe Flacco
36-46 (78%) for 425 yards
11 yard TD pass - Kareem Hunt
82 yard TD pass - Steven Nelson
36 yard TD pass - Christian Harris

The Texans are a team nobody wants to play. With everyone playing they may have the best defense left in the AFC. They are capable of totally stopping the run. And CJ is better than the QB he will face in the next round.

Go to Baltimore, go to KC, go to Buffalo, host Miami, or host Pittsburgh

The go to Baltimore or Buffalo or KC or host Miami. If the home teams win both it's Baltimore if the road teams Miami and Pitt win both its home vs Miami. Splits 1-1 home road means a road game to the home team that wins this weekend..

Ideal is Pitt and Miami win, we host Miami and Balt hosts Pitt (who swept Balt this year]. Steelers and Texans win again and we host Pittsburgh for the AFC Title.

KC + Buffalo -> @ Baltimore
KC + Pitt -> @ KC
Miami + Buffalo -> @ Buffalo
Miami + Pitt -> vs Miami

Okay, put down the sauce, man.

We could end up playing Mahomes.

We can't host Pitt . If they win they go to Baltimore.

There's a reason every opening mentions he's leading the league in TD / interception ratio. Ask Flacco.

I live in Missouri now, so yeah, I've seen a chiefs game or two.

Their defense is actually pretty stout, they're just lacking playmakers on O. Their defense is at least as good as ours. Statistics say their D is much better.

I'm not saying I'm scared of them, but Mahomes is better than Stroud. Josh Allen also better than Stroud.

And I'd argue the Ravens D is also better than ours as well to address the other point in your post.

Maybe I'm just drinking the kool-aid but I feel like the Texans have a legitimate shot to get to the big dance this year. Stroud has obviously been better than advertised but Nico Collins is now a true #1 receiver and Singletary looks great to me. Other players have been stepping up all over the field as well. The defense continues to look better and better.

Flacco threw 2 TDs to Texan DBs including an 88 yarder to Steven Nelson, CJ was better than Mahomes statistically this year. And the Browns have more WR and TE weapons than the Chiefs. Playing KC may be the easiest path if we have to go on the road.

Is Sauce Gardner of the Jets really better than Stingley now that he is healthy? Stingley did not allow a catch today.

What a great win to watch. Also glad to see Deshaun Watson there so that he can see that we are better off with CJ Stroud.
