Yes. It was a foul. Brad berry even said it after he grabbed him

Watched it few times and JuJu looked like he messed up his move and stumbled on his own. But I can see how a ref sees him stumble and thinks it was caused by the defender. Refs mess this one up all the time.

The calls were good.

Great game.

Philly will be a beast next year.
I think they will take a step back.

The good for them...
Hurts
Young, good, and cheap receivers
Their front office is possibly the best in the NFL
Two first round picks

However the bad...
Coordinators may be lured to other teams
Many of their core guys on O and D lines are over 30 yrs old with a lot of miles on them
Many of them (and others...free agents) have contracts up and will be looking for bigger $$$
They will be paying Hurts north of $40 mil, maybe closer to $50?
They have almost no cap space as of now

I may be wrong....they have a front office that will always make them competitive, working out salaries and putting the best talent on the field. They have shown that for the last decade. We'll see.

Hahahaha.

Hurts drops the ball then kicks it directly to the Chiefs for a TD.

And you hayseeds are blaming the refs, they took a TD away from KC earlier…where were you then? If it was rigged that would have been a touchdown.

Eagles should have been called for delay of game about five times, they only got it once.

That holding was pretty ticky tack but the Eagles defense blew the game on that punt return.

What's a hayseed?

When I was a kid, the catch/fumble/incomplete play would have been a catch and fumble. The rules have changed since I was a kid, and I don't like it. But it did help out A&M in the 7 overtime win over LSU because Sternberger's incompletion would have been a catch and fumble and the game would have been over. So there's that.

A seed used to grow hay.

I thought I heard they would be in cap hell next year so they went all in this year. Is that wrong?
Yes, but they have just about everybody returning.

They might upgrade their DC.

The best football coach I ever had the privilege to interview once said that if you are in the position where one bad call by the referee can cost you the game, then you have failed to execute your game plan and now you're having to leave the end result up to chance.

Holding call was ticky-tack, but the Eagles also kicked the Chiefs a free defensive TD, gave up the huge punt return, and pissed away a 24-14 halftime lead Their offense folded up shop after halftime except for the drive that tied it at 35.

When a DB admits(to his credit) that it was holding cuz he tugged at the WRs jersey, that's not ticky-tack call. It's a call that had to be made. As fans, it sucks cuz we'd like as much on-field drama as possible.

It's not a call that had to be made if players were doing it all game, and they were. Call it the same in the 1st as you do in the 4th. That's all anyone reasonably asks.

Yeah. It's like holding on the OLine. Or a travel/carry in the NBA. They could call it almost every play. So saying it was the correct call is really only half the story.

And for the record, I'm not at all saying it's scripted or the NFL was trying to help the chiefs win. I just think officials suck and are inconsistent and seem to insert themselves whenever possible.

Kelce through 18 playoff games: 133 rec/1548 yds/16 TDs.

Gronk through 22 playoff games: 98 rec/1389 yds/15 TDs.

Imagine what his stats would be if he wasn't on a team that's such a perineal underdog…..

and going back to the Eagles strategy during the Chiefs final drive...

it may be time for coaches to get more extreme in preventing their opponent from draining the clock for a last second field goal.

Kansas City had 1st & 10 at the Eagles 17-yard line with 2:07 to play. This meant KC could get another 1st down before scoring and almost run the clock out.

in hindsight...what Philly should have done...is have a player jump offsides and knock over Mahomes to draw a personal foul.

then KC would have had 1st & goal from the 9-yard line with between 2:07 and 2 minutes to go...and could not have run out the clock, since the Eagles had 1 timeout left

Unless the Chiefs declined the penalty. Which is what would've happened.

It's a joke. I know he's a great player. I've just never seen a player talk so much about "nobody giving them a chance or thinking they'd be here" when they're among the favorites every single season.

A perineal underdog is the spot on a dog between his balls and his anus. Otherwise known as a taint or a gooch.

A perennial underdog is whatever team Kelce is on even if it's the Vegas favorite to win the title.

it would make for an interesting decision for Andy Reid...to turn down 1st & goal at the 9-yard line.

in a tie game...it would be easier to decline for sure.

if the Chiefs were trailing...not so much

I have Kelce in a dynasty FFL league. He's the greatest thing ever. Some time in a garbage game, they should see how many times they could throw to him. I feel like he could have 25 catches for 400 yards and 6 touchdowns in a game if the wanted to really feed him.

All time great TE. All time great big-mouth, especially when responding to non-existent doubt about the Chiefs. He can be both
