Bengals are dangerous because if you take away the deep threat, they're perfectly fine just getting 6-9 yard chunks at a time and if you try to stop the short game they will just as easily go deep

Agreed. That's the NFL wanting to keep the game relevant as long as possible.

It's not a completely terrible call, we've all seen much worse, but that was not the definition of clear evidence to overturn the call.
