I am a die hard San Francisco 49ers fan. It was awesome to watch the No. 6 San Francisco 49ers upset the No. 3 Dallas Cowboys 23-17 on the road in the NFC Wild Card Playoff game. After the 49ers took a 23-7 lead with 5:50 left in the 3rd quarter, the Cowboys scored 10 unanswered points to cut the deficit to 23-17 with 8:02 left. But the 49ers survived a Cowboys comeback to seal a road playoff win. The 49ers kept their quest for a 6th Super Bowl title alive and ended the Cowboys' pursuit of a 6th Super Bowl title. The 49ers will travel to face a well-rested Green Bay Packers team at Lambeau Field in the NFC Divisional round.

Dak is now experiencing what Dirk experienced until 2011.

I always read your posts in the voice of a movie tones news narrator.
But why? Those aren't the rules...Goose83 said:
Dumb last play, but officials didn't help, either. Ref should have stopped the clock, then set the ball.
Also, I liked how the the 49er defender basically tackled Dak on the slide. If that had been Dallas, that would have been a 15 yard penalty and the defender thrown out of the game. However, since it wasn't, no big deal.
Still, way too many blown opportunities. The O-line looked like trash, and Dark little more than a deer lost in the headlights for much of the game.

Should have attempted hail Mary two times.
How long until we see a picture of the ref wearing a 49er's sweatshirt ?ramblin_ag02 said:
Dumb play call but it should have worked. Dak ran too far and the dumb ref didn't even stood still like a statue until Dak was down. Then all of sudden he realizes he has to spot the ball and starts running the 40 as fast as he can. He should have been slow jogging that direction the second Dak passed the line of scrimmage.
This is what I felt like they should have done, too. Don't like the QB draw with the time that was left and never will. Bad call and even worse execution by Dak.DannyDuberstein said:
At the 41 and with SF coverage heavily shifted outside. Send Wilson or Lamb up the seam and let them fight for a ball in the endzone
Technically yes, but if the ref's physical inability to keep up with the play shouldn't be a deciding factor, either.gougler08 said:But why? Those aren't the rules...Goose83 said:

I'm an avowed Cowboys hater. But, when Dak slid he was hit by a Niner's player. Shouldn't that have been a penalty?

The ref was going to give the cowboy's two free yards on that play because the ball should have been spotted at the 26 where Dak started his slide.

Throw it to Wilson down the seam. Then he could throw it to another wide receiver on the sideline.DannyDuberstein said:

I can think of 25 plays better than the one Dallas ran.

They were at the 30
Not even a hail Mary esp since they were guarding the sideline
Guess Moore isnt a genius

He's overrated. This is a team that beat up on bad teams and lost to good ones. The offense couldn't close the deal when playing good teams.
