SI did their homework to verify as much as they could. Seems completely credible to me. The dude is a predator freak and now he's in NFL limbo. Who would trade for him with this out there?

I was taking to a friend recently about this. This is going to be really interesting because all signs point to him being suspended this coming season. This will be somewhat similar to Michael Vick but when Watson comes back, he'll still be in his prime. Someone is going to get him for cheap and just deal with the backlash.
The more we hear, the more I think this eventually becomes criminal charges. Dog killing is brutal, but having a registered sex offender play QB for you is a whole 'nother level of backlash. Especially in the current world. A lot has changed. Crazy to think, but I can't rule out the possibility that his career could actually be over.

I think it's really bad that he contacted her for a massage and A) stopped reaching out once she told him she only does massages etc etc and B) that he reached out to her again and didn't realize she had already worked with him.

I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.
The SI article is pretty damning, as it corroborates Buzbee's narrative but isn't coming from one of Buzbee's plaintiffs (at least not yet). Makes it much harder to argue Buzbee is orchestrating the whole thing. Throw in SI verifying many of the details and he's in a bind. Barring some major revelations, the basic fact pattern of what he was up to is pretty clear. Whether he took it as far as some allege is still to be litigated, but I'm not sure he can dispute the basic premise at this point-that he was hiring random masseuses as a pretext for something else.

I know we've all heard a million times about the "spoiled athlete", but I'm just guessing he's gone through most of his life as "the guy", and he's never had to deal much with repercussions. Someone always there to take care of things/get rid of the problem.. I would imagine it's like this for most super-high end athletes. Rusty Hardin is going to get paid and publicity which is pretty much all he cares about, but even still, I'm starting to get the sense of "wait, what the F did I just sign up for?" starting to creep in. What little he gave SI was starting to sound a bit exasperated.

You are missing the most important part of that title: The ellipses. In between "serving others" and "repeating" there is a ton of information he "yada, yada, yada-ed"

The problem here is that trades can only become official on March 17 at 4PM EST. I am willing to bet that any team with a competent GM would have paused the trade and it wouldn't have become official. This is an easy argument, but I just can't see a team trading tremendous draft capital/players and on the eve of the NFL new year with the news breaking, continues to move forward with the trade.
To me, it actually makes more sense of the team not trading him if they had advanced knowledge this was coming down the pike.
Didn't realize that about the dates. Thought the lawsuits came after the new season started.
