Miami also flipped that #12 pick and acquired #6 from PHI

Have to think they're jockeying for position and draft capital for Deshaun.

Caserio might be interested in talking trade to the 49ers now.

NFC team picking in the top 5

That was my thought of why the 49ers made this move. But giving away their 2022 1st round pick doesn't seem like it leaves them much unless they have players we really really want.

From Schefter: Dolphins now have basically turned their former LT Laremy Tunsil who they traded to Houston into four first-round picks and a third-round pick.

The disrespect for Johnson Bademosi, Julien Davenport, and Kenny Stills is REAL.

Must be nice to have a competent GM (Caserio has actually been fine but obviously BOB burned it to the ground)

There is not enough there from SF...I agree with Ag_07, the Dolphins are the team now, they have plenty of assets now to make the deal with the Texans.

The way I see it is there's no way Miami is acquiring all these picks to surround Tua.

Nope, this is all about acquiring Watson. Question is do they throw Tua in the trade and do the Texans really want him?

Or Russ Wilson, potentially.

No way do I think they make these moves this far from the draft unless something else is about to drop...

Forgot about Wilson...but yes, they are making moves to make a big move.

They can trade Tua for a 3rd and sweeten the deal for us.

Interesting move. I think this makes what both SF and MIA can offer more intriguing depending on how a package was put together.

Don't be surprised to see SF not make a serious play for Watson.

What picks do they have to give up now though? We want at least 3 firsts right?

So are we expecting them to make a play for him or not? This wording is weird.

I don't understand how y'all completely discount tua already. I would love to have tua and all those picks

Yeah, I don't get writing off Tua. Busts his hip, then gets to be a rookie in a totally ****ed up covid offseason. My opinion of him is no different than this time last year, meaning there is certainly risk as there always is with any QB new to the league no matter how highly drafted, but I still think he can be a very good qb

What he's not saying is you shouldn't be unsurprised if they don't make an offer.

Getting to check Tua's IG DM's should be a condition of the trade.

Have to think they're jockeying for position and draft capital for Deshaun.

That... or they are just making sure they get Waddle, Pitts, Smith, or Chase. Them moving out of 3 seems like a clear indicator they aren't after a QB and SF moving in seems like they are about to move Jimmy G and are after a QB,

I think the moves yesterday are pretty clear indicators they are out on a Watson trade... I don't think it was good news for the Texans in any way really.

I'm leaning this way too. Miami already had plenty of picks to make a trade and the no. 3 pick in this draft would have been the centerpiece. My guess is that there's no more grand plan than "let's build through the draft" and they are maximizing that plan.

yes, Miami wants an elite WR at #6...plus the flexibility to move up in the draft for another top player.

i.e. trade the 18th overall pick and one of the 2022 picks

Add Pitts and Smith or Waddle then all of a sudden Tua has some serious tools to work with.

Watson is significantly better than tua. Signing Will Fuller then gathering all of these pics now make it likely Miami will take a shot at Watson. Great QBs are really hard to get and they can make you a winner for a decade. Watson gets Miami in the same club as KC and Buffalo. Tua and more talent around him do not.

Trade is coming soon.

I would be absolutely floored if anyone traded significant assets for DW without some resolution to his outstanding issues.

Wouldn't they have kept #3 overall as a trade piece if they wanted to trade for Watson?

Such a mess and, barring a global settlement, will likely remain one for years. Harris county was already backed up before Covid. I would guess it will take about 2 years to get all of these to trial, and that's assuming neither side asks for a continuance and literally tries it on the first trial setting (which virtually never happens). Add a year for every continuance.
