Straight up right now I'd trade BoB back at HC for Easterby being gone.

Who cares? He was chaplain/character coach in NE. He didn't do anything substantive as it relates to actually running the team. He was the guy that players went to when they wanted to talk. That's literally the only thing people can point to that he's supposedly good at. But he can't even do that here because all the players apparently hate him.

This is exactly how Jack is successful. There is plenty of smoke, but he probably convinces people that technically nothing is his fault.

Does the entire roster, particularly the player at the most important position in team sports that is also a generational talent, as well as team legends that have been employed as advisors in the past 18 months so have experience on management side wanting Easterby gone count as a transgression or are you looking for like secret recordings or something?

Hi, Jack. How's it going?

When I say a generational talent at the QB position, I'm referring to production relative to his peers. Take a look at Deshauns stats at the point in his career and you'll see what I mean. He's not only surpassing his peers outside of Mahomes, but he's setting league records. Even more impressive considering the talent and organization around him.

Mahomes is ahead of him for sure, but name some other players more productive than him over the last 4 years and/or some you expect to match or exceed him over the next 4 - that's how I'm defining a generational talent.

They are on the short list no doubt.

The good news is football is the major sport that is probably the easiest to correct quickly. With the right front office managing the draft and FAs and being cutthroat cutting or trading guys you can flip it pretty quick.

The bad news? The front office was run by an absolute idiot for too long and the owner is tone deaf.

Wow I continue to be in disbelief at your posts. Also I would hedge Watson would be doing exactly what mahomes is doing if Watson would've been the QB taken by KC

I just don't understand how it is so hard to fire somebody who seemingly does nothing for the organization and is hated by all of the players.

If we choose some random chaplain over the only franchise QB the team has ever had then it will be the craziest thing I have ever seen in my life following sports

This whole situation sucks.

Cal should have cleaned house and brought in some winners. These guys are not them. If they let Watson force the trade they will lose the fan base. No one has ever brought this much excitement to the team. And yes I know who JJ is but he can't win a game on his own.

I wish some of the big donors/sponsors would go to him and let him understand the gravity of the idiotic moves he's making.

That said I fully anticipate them to cave right before the draft. That happens and I'm out.

This is true too. We would not be able to field a team this year if we trade him.

You're not giving him enough credit for his primary area of responsibility which is the team's culture

The coaching hire will tell a lot on whether or not DW is traded. If we get a stop gap hire I would expect he's gone. At that point I likely will be too, in fact I'll probably be rooting against them.
