A lot of negative synergy going on in Cleveland.

The Browns are going to have a hard time finding good coaches who want to coach there. When they do hire a coach, they have to scrape the lower end of the barrel and then don't give them time to build. This makes it harder to find another coach. They have to scrape even lower. And the cycle continues.

Kitchens took over a team that had won something like three games in the last three seasons combined. The team was a lot better this year. He still got fired.

Cleveland is never going to be successful as long as they have this ownership.

yes. 7-8-1 in 2018. 6-10 in 2019.

I like Rhule, but what gives him the leverage to say he should have personnel power?

Frankly, most coaches that have dipped their toe in that water have failed miserably. Even Parcells record with the Jets was sketchy. I aways kinda cringe when I read those types of things. With the rare exceptions, coaches coach, scouts scout and personnel people put the rosters together.

That doesn't mean they don't get input from the coaches, but come on...

How does hiring assistants from playoff teams work? Can they interview while their team is still in the playoffs, but not move to a new job until their team is eliminated?

assistants on teams with a bye can interview this week.

He has a good relationship with the GM of the giants, David smoak of 1660 ESPN radio was just talking about it. Evidently gave a interview a couple of years ago talking about how much he respected him.

I can see that. And again, I think Rhule would be a solid hire, but I also think Rhule has a bit of urgency, too.

Rhule could very well go 7-5 next year and would not be as hot of a name. I think Rhule knows he has to strike now while his stock is as high as it will ever be.

Twitter world is saying that Giants are scared the Cowboys will steal Rhule.
