If XFL can only get same level of players as AAF, it will also not last long

Flawless logic. They folded after a few weeks in 2001 but this time will be different because McMahon is very wealthy now (as if he wasnt in 2001).
The players and quality of play sucked then, and suck now in AAF and will suck next year in the XFL. Their dumb gimmicks arent enough to overcome bad football.

It may have, but when he makes his commitment then he is making it difficult to locate other investment opportunities. If he's not in at the outset with the vision of the league or the path ahead then he probably shouldn't have invested at all. He's not totally blameless just because he fronted money. I don't particularly care as I only watched one game.

That it would fold absent him is not necessarily true or false. Just depends on what other opportunities they, had if any.

AAF was doomed and they knew it.
They approached Vince McMahon about a merger with the XFL in December before the season started.

So the league folds, stops paying their players, yet seeks to prevent them from seeking employment in Canada. I'm pretty sure that won't play well in a court of law.
