The only thing more strange I've ever seen in the draft was the Vikings letting time expire for their pick in back-to-back years.

The only thing I can think of is the bears were competing with another franchise for the chance to get Trubisky.

Step away from the ledge - it's been two picks. You never know. This could just as easily push a tackle later or work out well. You never know just yet. Watson wasn't going to be there likely anyway.

No they must've known that somebody like the jets or browns were gonna trade with the 9ers for Trubisky there anyways so they had to do it. That or the 9ers pulled a fast one on the Bears and told them they were gonna take somebody's offer
