A Dallas Cowboy in DFW can't go to the cleaners without it becoming a media event. I've dealt with a few as clients and even the third stringers create a buzz in the office. The idea that Aikman, the biggest name of em all, could live as a gay man in DFW and not have it revealed before now is a bit far fetched. Especially in a world where everyone has a camera phone.

I've always suspected Skip Bayless was back of these stories. That dude is vicious; his book on Tom Landry was nothing more than a hit-piece. He managed to find everyone who ever had an ax to grind against Landry; players he cut, traded, didn't play enough, etc and gave em a forum to bash away. If you didn't know who Landry was before you read the book you'd wind up thinking he was a combination of Gilligan, Adolf Hitler and Robert Tilton. Aikman probably offended Bayless in some way and the gay stories was Bayless' revenge.

No kidding... it's more about all of these people who claim to of course have firsthand info 'from someone they know' that Aikman's a butt pirate as if all of those people know somebody who's an 'insider' to his life and aren't just all rumormongering.

I don't know whether is or not, but he seems gay to me. It reminds me of Anderson Cooper. Either one could come out definitively as gay, bi, or straight and it wouldn't surprise me.

Cooper is super gay. Thought that was a pretty well-known fact.

Airman is super gay. Neither have publicly confirmed their homosexuality.

Out Magazine named Anderson Cooper the #2 most powerful Gay man in America. Cooper has also accepted GLAAD awards. Pretty sure he is out, he just doesn't discuss it.

anderson cooper is publicly gay. aikman is not. maybe he really is, maybe he isn't, but this is not a good comparison.

What about Joe Buck? I always thought he was a little gay. Google 'Paul Rudd Joe buck' and watch that YouTube video and Joe Buck seems super gay.

Maybe Fox saves money by letting Buck and Aikman share a room.

Not to hijack the thread, but i have personally witnessed robert horry making out with another man. Knowingly. Doesnt mean hes gay, but i definitely think he likes to get down on some kahk every now and then.

When I lived in Asstin 96'-'99, a couple of clients of mine were part of a group of older gay men that won some night on the town with Aikman - I don't remember the details, but I think it was a silent auction for a fundraiser or something. Anywho, they wouldn't divulge any details, but after a night of limo rides, dinner, drinking, etc., they said he was either gay and living a lie (like a lot of these older men had been who were previously married, with kids, etc.) or at a minimum bisexual. These men at the time ranged in age from late 40's to 60ish. They said there was zero doubt. I believed them FWIW.

Um, he's gay. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Aikman make out with another man at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

What Greg Oden said above reminded me that there's a poster on the Tine board (I forget who) that's claimed to have seen different Houston athletes doing gay things around town. I'm pretty sure he swore he saw Duane Brown or someone like that making out with a small Hispanic guy in a parking lot in Montrose.

I honestly don't care one way or the other.


I'm pretty doubtful that he's guy because I doubt he could keep that a secret in DFW for so long and he does have a couple daughters.

My buddies dad is an airline pilot, and sometimes gets sat next to minor celebrities and SIPs (semi-important people) when he is a passenger an on airplane. Apparently they think its cool to sit next to an off-duty pilot, but thats not really relevant here. Point is, he gets to listen to people run their mouth and attempt to prove how plugged in they are behind the scenes. One time an assistant to an agent swears he was tasked with taking Aikman to a club to meat dudes, and can 100% verify that Troy like to at least touch other dudes sausage. He, and several other sources, say Troy was well known in the underground gay club scene in Dallas.

Personally, I don't really buy any of it. the media is way to powerful and too damn good at digging up dirt to have somehow been duped by the tightly knit brotherhood of gay dudes who have hooked up with a superbowl winning QB. Sure he may have banged a few dudes every once in a while at a party or something, but I highly doubt he has been leading a consistently gay behind the scenes life without it somehow becoming public.

The rumors started with Skip Bayless, and I fully discount anything that idiot has to say. It's basically a kiss of "untrue" death as far as I'm concerned.

Also, I know the guy who was dating Aikman's eventual wife, when Aikman swooped in and snagged her. Let's just say given the lengths that Aikman went to to swipe her (including arranging to get her job changed so he could casually stop by to see her/"run into" her more, among other things), I'd have trouble believing he was gay. He saw something he wanted, and he took it - and what he wanted had two tits and a p***y. And it's not after-the-fact story this guy is telling me. I worked with this guy in public accounting before he dated Aikman's eventual wife, kept in touch when he went to work for the Cowboys as we had a number of mutual friends, and basically heard how this thing unfolded as it went down. Poor ******* was devastated, but at least now having your gf stolen by a future HOFer is a good story.

I thought the rumors started in the early 1990's when Aikman dumped country singer Lorrie Morgan. Back then nobody could understand why a man would dump her.

I am not sure if he is gay or not, but I know a girl who claims she did him back in the old "white house" days. She worked at a strip club and says she used to bring girls over there. Not really sure why she would make it up. She was pretty hot.
