My wife (Aggie Class of '09, Master's '11) was unfortunately laid off in the middle of her maternity leave a couple of weeks ago. Thankfully, since she is on the HR team, we saw the writing on the wall and were able to plan ahead in case this scenario came about, but she's now beginning a job search for the first time in 8 years.
She has spent the past 8 years growing within her company, starting as an HR Manager and most recently serving as an HR Business Partner after several acquisitions and organizational changes. She especially enjoys and is looking to focus on the strategic side of HR - partnering with leadership, organizational development, and driving business outcomes, rather than primarily administrative functions like payroll or benefits administration. While her experience has been in the tech industry, her skill set is highly transferable, and she's open to opportunities across industries.
We're based in North Austin and are not planning to relocate, so opportunities in the North Austin / Round Rock / Cedar Park / Georgetown area would be ideal. She has also worked remotely since 2020 and would absolutely consider WFH or hybrid roles.
If you or someone in your network is hiring or open to a conversation, I'd greatly appreciate the connection. Happy to make an introduction.
Thanks in advance and Gig 'em
