Howdy!

I am a proud Aggie, graduating with a Biomedical Sciences degree in 2020 and missing only one home football game since I was 5 years old. Upon graduation, I made the decision to pivot to business and completed a Master's in Business Management at SMU, where I finished near the top of my class. Since then, l have been working as a revenue consultant for a Fortune 100 company. While I have enjoyed my time in this role, l have discovered that my true passion lies in Real Estate, and I have committed to transitioning into the industry, with the long-term goal of breaking into Real Estate Private Equity.

To prepare myself for this career change, I've:

• Scored a 765 on the GMAT (100th percentile) for potential further specialized education
• Earned my Real Estate License
• Completed Real Estate Financial Modeling (REFM) Levels 1-3 and several Break Into CRE courses (Financial Modeling, Waterfall Modeling, Development, Leasing, Pro Forma Modeling, etc.)
• Finished the CRE Analyst Fast Track Program
• Am currently working toward ARGUS Certification

Despite these efforts, I am still finding it difficult to "get a foot in the door." I am extremely motivated and am certain that I can succeed and add value to a company if given the opportunity. I am reaching out to the Aggie network for any mentorship, advice, or potential opportunities as I work toward this transition. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Does that mean you're not getting interviews?

I guess Texas is the best market nationally, but it still seems like a challenging time to get into CRE.

I would recommend finding the companies working in the high growth areas and focusing on the firms with the largest portfolios in those areas.
