I've been remote for a long time but have to return to office a few days a week. I really need to refresh my whole work wardrobe. Just curious where everyone shops for office attire? I have limited sense of style.
I did this for a long time with a guy in Seattle. It wasn't cheap, but those things fit like a glove. I still do this for suits. I have deep zipper pockets added in the front pant pockets and do zipper interior pockets on the jackets. I felt great traveling internationally with my passport back when I did that more often.RightWingConspirator said:
I'm in your situation as well where I work in the office a couple of days a week. I get all my clothes custom made for me. I realize that sounds pretentious, but Raj comes in from Thailand twice per year and sets up a suite at the hotel near Westheimer and here in The Woodlands. He brings swatches in for suits, trousers, shirts, etc. He'll take all of your measurements and you pick the fabrics you like. He returns to Thailand and custom makes your clothes and ships it to you. It takes about 6 weeks or so. Want super 120 wool? He's got it. Want your initials in your suit or on your sleeve? He'll do it. Need the left cuff bigger than the right to accommodate a watch? He'll do that too.
His prices are very fair. I pay about $60 for shirts. Trousers run about $90, but the fit cannot be beat as they are custom made to your size.
If I have to go with "off-the-rack" stuff, I'll order Charles Tyrwhitt. Shoes I wear Alan Edmonds. They're expensive, but they'll last you for decades.

No - they look pretty good though. I'll order a pair.
Back in the day, I had a female boss who thought the men in her department needed to dress nicer. So she asked some executives where they bought their clothes, and then told me, "You guys need to be buying your suits at M. Penner. That's where all the VPs shop."ThunderFighter06 said:
Men's Warehouse and Cavender's. This thread reminds me that I actually need to hit up MW. Got some gift cards from Christmas and my birthday that I need to cash in!

I went to a meeting the next day and a member of the client team showed up in shorts and a t-shirt...which he tucked into the shorts.

Clearance rack a Kohls. $5 shirts and $5 pants. But my role is about 5% how I look and 95% if my team finishes projects on time and on budget.
A resale shop and I'm not kidding.JBLHAG03 said:
