Howdy Ags!
Within the next few months I'll be looking for another opportunity. I understand that this time of the year is not an ideal time to be searching for a job. I'm currently working in the agriculture field in the Midwest and looking to make a permanent move back home to Texas, preferably Houston but I'd definitely consider San Antonio, or the Metro-Plex.
The opportunity doesn't have to be in agriculture as my background has opened me up to numerous career paths. I have experience in:
analysis of agricultural data
laboratory analysis of environmental and agricultural samples
scientific research experience with a super-major O&G company
experience as a federal employee performing field work pertaining to NEPA documentation and other local and federal regulations
experience as a consultant to the agricultural sector (analysis of farm data and amendment recommendations)
in-depth knowledge of the innovation/decision gate process
experience managing research projects contracted to universities
I'm open to the most opportunities as researcher or staff scientist. I'm also very open to field scientist (boots on the ground) positions. My educational background consists of Lamar University (B.S. in Physics) and TAMU (M.S. in Health Physics and PhD in Soil Science). Any suggestions, leads, or contacts would be greatly appreciated! Sorry for the long post!
