Howdy Ags!

Just wanted to throw out a quick post. I am currently employed in the oil field, and whether it be due to not a ton of drilling, or my company having a hard time finding work, things are slow. So I have decided to use this slow period to do a little fishing, and see if my services may be useful elsewhere. I have attached a google doc of my resume. I feel my diverse background makes me a good candidate for an equally diverse set of potential job options. I am ready and willing to learn, and I am not opposed to branching out into something new and different from my previous employment. I actually welcome it because I feel I thrive in the face new challenges both in everyday life and in my career. Feel free to message me here or give me a call if you feel I may be able to assist you in some way. My contact info is available per my resume, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Couple of quick notes on your resume coming from a hiring manager:

1) Always list current experience first. When I'm going through resumes, I want to see your current and relevant experience first so that I don't have to put pieces together.
2) Your degree is in psychology, but you seem to be calling yourself an engineer quite a bit within your experience. Be careful with this as certain jobs will require an engineering degree especially in the oil-field.
3) In my mind, knowing that you are a diver and play racquetball have zero bearing on me hiring you. Yes, we may talk about it during an interview, but including this on a resume isn't really needed IMO.
4) Do you want to stay in the project world? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? The oil patch is highly cyclical - might want to think about some professional certifications to add to your psychology degree to help with some inter-disciplinary credibility.

Hope that helps!
