My wife recently accepted an assistant professor position at Texas Tech that starts this summer. We plan on moving to Lubbock from Columbus, OH in late June. I have been doing commercial electrical work for the past 15 years. I am also a licensed journeyman in the state of Texas.

I am looking for a commercial journeyman position with a contractor or possibly a position with an electrical supply company. If anyone has any leads or company recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks and Gig'Em!

Sparky, are you willing to travel? We might have need for someone with your experience in next few weeks for a few months of work with Oilfield related installations. Company is based in Lubbock. Most of the work will be in Midland or Laredo. Travel would just be during the week.

Thanks, but I just started a new project with my current employer that will keep me busy through May. I really don't want to leave him hanging.

I haven't done the travelling type job yet, so I am not sure how the wife would feel about it. I would definitely consider it if the money was right, but the timing just isn't good for me at the moment. If something were to come up in the end of June/beginning of July after we moved to Lubbock, I wouldn't mind if you let me know. I can send you my resume If you would like. Just send an email to kmrode at hotmail.com.
