How long do you want to ignore this user?
I saw some negativity in previous posts but the most recent one dated back a year ago. I was contacted by a recruiter and have an interview with them today for their energy related tax incentive division. I'm currently an electrical engineer in the construction industry.

Anything to watch out for during the interview when they are describing/selling the company?

I have had a few friends work there and none of them lasted very long

Main Complaints:

1) Horrible Upper Management
2) No-Work Life Balance, especially during tax season
3) Empty promises about promotion and when you will be "done" with training

Those are just a few things I remember. You can check out their ratings on glassdoor

I have a couple of friends that have worked there, and one who currently works there. Every one of them hates the company. The one currently working there is looking to get out.

What I've heard is that its a place to collect a paycheck that isn't the unemployment line. If its either Alliantgroup or not eating, go for it but I wouldn't otherwise leave a paying gig for that place.

I interviewed there and got a serious Manson vibe from the place.

TTT

I have a job (oil and gas) that I like and that pays well but I am getting recruited pretty aggressively. I always like to hear offers and it sounds like the money is right but it seems like everything I read online is negative.

All the positive reviews on glassdoor read like bought and paid for cookie cutter/template reviews. Which tells me something.

Does anyone have anything positive to say about this company?

I have been contacted twice over the past year by different recruiters for jobs there as well... Instantly turned them down based on all the negative stuff I have heard/read.

Go interview, feel it our for yourself and see if you can get an offer in your hand... My company just matched an offer I received from another company and I got myself a middle of the year 14% bump in salary. I know some say you should never do that, but I felt very comfortable doing it at my company and am not the least bit worried about it coming back to haunt me. I was also making below market average and everyone agreed on that as well.

I would agree and say you really need to go feel it out for yourself. But I feel obligated to share the experience I have had:

My best friend's wife works there. Before they got married, while they were engaged, her MALE supervisor (mid-30s I think?) basically told her she shouldn't marry him; something about marriage being a dumb thing to be considering at her age (mid-20s). Needless to say, my buddy was irate and still doesn't trust her current employer.

Take that story as you will.
