Anyone work for EOG Resources? Just curious about any info on the company.

My mom works in their legal department. It sounds like they take very good care of their employees as far as pay and benefits. It also sounds like their business is solid, and they are expecting it to increase.

In case anyone is unfamiliar, EOG stands for ENRON Oil and Gas.

I work for a company that works for EOG. So I guess I technically work for them.

The only info I can pass along is that they stayed busy while a lot of others packed it in over the last year with their drilling operations in the Barnett Shale.

Don't know if thats the kind of info you were looking for, but there it is anyway.

I have a friend that works there. She is an Aggie. She loves it.

I can tell you firsthand that the office building they just moved into is freaking sweet.

I worked for them about 5 years ago, but most of the management is still there. I can tell you it is absolutely a fantastic company to work for. They really take care of their employees are one of the top technical and successful operators in America. I still see Mark Papa the CEO from time to time and he is the most approachable nicest person in a senior management position I have come across.
That said, if you are in finance, they are pretty risk averse and you won't see to much action, which is the only reason I am not there any more. However, if you are looking for a company to work with until you retire, this is a great one.

Thanks for the input. You guys pretty much solidified what I thought and have heard. I have a buddy that works for them in Houston and loves it. Says going to work for them was the best thing he ever did career wise. I'm hoping to get something rolling with them soon. Thanks again for the thoughts, and I still welome more opinions from anyone else!
