I feel like I remember someone saying classes taken during the summer at a different school and transferred in don't count towards your A&M GPA, but I can't find that written anywhere. Can anyone confirm that's true?

Do transfer classes count towards GPA?

No they do not count

As a follow up, they do not even show a grade....just the credit. Same for AP (obviously).
However, if the student plans to attend graduate school or a professional school the grade will be used.

Actually, the grade does show on your transcript with a T in front of it. So an A from Blinn will show as TA on your transcript or a C from Lone Star will show as TC. It does not have an impact on your A&M GPA.
Quick note about GPA and transfer classes.
Will they count towards your TAMU GPA? No
But
If you're trying to go into the Military then you should be able to claim all classes towards your GPA.
