I am looking into taking POLS-State and Local at Blinn during the minimester in May because I really need to knock out some hours if I am going to graduate anywhere close to on time. Fooling around trying to decide what you want to do will do that to you.

Anyway, has anyone ever taken a minimester at Blinn? Thoughts?

i didn't take a minimester at Blinn, but i took one this winter at HCC. But it was Comm 203 so i didn't have to do anything.

i know a couple people who took Poli Sci at HCC though...and didn't really read anything but made high grades on their tests.

I took a winter minimester at Blinn. Being in there for 3.5 hours every day made it really long and boring. But it was only for 3 weeks, so it was bearable.

I've taken other minimesters at the community college where my dad used to work and had mixed experiences. Of course, if you've got a decent prof (I didn't at Blinn), that makes it a lot better.

I took Poli Sci-State at Blinn with Prof. Shomaker last summer and I would REALLY recommend him if he's available.

I got an A but his tests are a lot more difficult than you would expect. He's a very nice man though who curves quite a bit at the end depending on how well you participated in class. Plus you probably only need the transfer credit.

But anyways, Minimesters at Blinn aren't bad at all. It's just really hard to sit in one place from 8-12 everyday.

Sweet that is the class I need. I'll look into it when they post schedules.
