Got one in the mail today, and anyone under 65 with half a brain can recognize from the language this is a psyop meant to scare boomers and housewives into voting against democrats. And judging by the social media response it is ABSOLUTELY working.

All is fair in love, war and politics so I don't have any issue with it, but let's not pretend this is anything else. I also think it's pretty damning that every liberal is rushing to make it clear that it wasn't them. Gee, why might you be so eager to distance yourself from something like this?!

It is a huge issue, not because there are a lot of trans people out there, but because it is a self-identifier for people whose view of the world does not in any way comport with reality. When a politician has talked about how we need to defend trans Texas and take care of trans kids, he has identified himself as somebody who is utterly and completely disconnected from reality, and in the sickest possible way. That's why this issue is important. Most voters understand the fact that "gender ideology" is a perversion of reality by people who are pedophiles or at the very least totally deranged. When voters are actually confronted with, or reminded of, the truth about who supports "gender ideology" and the horrific particulars of what that ideology entails, it helps Republicans every single time.

Transtexas produced the material and an abridged version of their content is now available. If it was sent by patriots exposing the degenerates I can applaud their courage otherwise it would be only available to those with an agenda or a mental condition.

The recent mailer informed Texans about the deranged degenerates grooming children. The content is almost identical to the material published by transtexas and available online.

If that's the case, while I with there was a cover note saying that, it really doesn't matter.

And the D has absolutely made it an issue the past decade. But now that everyone else has reacted to it as "nonsense affected a small minority of mentally ill people" D now wants to point the finger at R for "making it an issue". Well, it is THE issue and D has made it that. Honestly if progressives can support "gender affirming care" for minors, can seek to exclude parents from parenting decisions, place *****es in girls sports, etc, etc. - many of us can trust NOTHING that D has to say.

I don't care who sent the text. I don't care who mailed the pamphlet.

There is NOTHING in there that wasn't lock step with the radical left until 2024. While a lot of that messaging has gone silent, I don't believe for a second it's not still there just under the surface waiting for an opportunity to return. Reminding the people that there are elements that truly wish to corrupt our children and split the soul of the nation is a good thing.

The evidence is crystal clear. The left is attacking the source of the mailer, NOT the content. The content is straight out of 2020--2024

I am not defending any part of this. That said, this mailer didn't change anyone's opinion. What it may accomplish is mobilizing voters that might have stayed home. It's fear mongering, something left does every day.

LOL, the pamphlet changed nothing. My thoughts and perspective on the issue have not changed. It is sad that R has to resort to D tactics . The information I've seen indicates that the pamphlet was real, but has been resent by an R group. I think it would have been even more effective sent with a cover letter explaining the origination of the pamphlet and how it was originally distributing.

It is mind boggling to me how anyone could look at all of the boys in girls sports stories the last few years, along with progressives' defense of same and NOT be riled up.

But it's a dirty ass lie only in that it's not actually being sent out by democrats. The actual content of the mailer are things that democratic political candidates, both in Texas and nationwide, have openly supported in recent years. And as others have pointed out the contents of the mailer are real and previously produced by the organization in question, they just aren't the ones mailing it out right now.

So why would using their own platform and opinions against them work so well to inflame, and why are Democrat voters so eager to make sure the public knows that it wasn't them who sent this out? Talarico and Hinojosa are both on record supporting the contents, why are democrats afraid of the public thinking they believe what they have said they believe? Why is that bad for their electoral hopes?

The reaction by democrats to this is far more damning than the mailer itself. They're telling on themselves.

It riled up the people who weren't already riled up. Sending it with a cover letter explaining it wouldn't have had the same impact. It's a net positive for republicans in this election.

Lamenting "R's resorting to D's tactics" is a big reason Republicans lose elections they should win or races being much closer than they should be. The general mindset that we're better people than they are, so we will not fight fire with fire, and instead, we'll just whine and complain when we lose is why we're in this position in the first place.

I'm not picking on you in particular, I just replied to the last post I saw. But using you as an example, you're OK with the end result, but feel the need to let everyone know you don't like how the sausage is made. That's the same attitude too many Republicans have. It doesn't win elections. It gives up control of our country to people who do not share the same values and beliefs we have.

Like imagine a democrat psyop sending out a pamphlet to Texas voters pushing pro-life/anti-abortion messaging (the most analogous controversial social topic on the right). Let's say they took a PreBorn pamphlet and sent it out to everyone in the mail. Would republican voters in this state be falling over themselves to distance their party and candidates from that? Would they be horrified to have Texans see that material and associate it with their party?

Say what you want about the abortion debate, but there would not be some huge push on the right to distance themselves from that and it would not internally be perceived as harmful to their election chances. Hell in 2024 when democrats tried to claim Trump was going to ban abortion nationwide (which actually was fabricated and something he never endorsed, unlike democrat politicians have widely endorsed the contents of the mailer) the reaction on the right was largely "we wish".

The fact that the average Democrat voter is either horrified by the contents, or horrified that Texans might believe their candidates support the contents of the mailer, is the most damning part of this. Their reaction is more telling than anything you can actually read in the mailer itself.
